President's Message

It is with great awe that I step in to lead this incredibly effective Club for the next twelve months.

I joined Visalia Breakfast Rotary almost 10 years ago to improve my public speaking skills and possibly obtain some business connections. The gift that I have received as an active member of the club can now be defined by the circle of close friends that I now have and being a part of an organization that truly helps our community.

When you look around at all of the things that the Visalia Breakfast Rotary Club does for the local and international community, it is rather staggering. From the Polio-free girl that plays with her friends in Brazil, to the needy child that receives a bicycle from us on Christmas, you can see that we've made a difference. From the physically challenged young person playing on the playground that we installed, to the student who receives just enough money from us to go on to college, you can see how effective we have been. From the elementary students who read the books that we have donated to the unsuspecting heart attack victim saved by one of our defibrillators, Visalia Breakfast Rotary is truly making a difference in our community.

We have done a great job! However, hold onto your seats folks, because your Board of Directors has been working very hard to come up with some really great ideas, some new projects and activities that you will enjoy in the coming year, and some new ways for you to get involved and continue to help our community.

From my view, I see Visalia Breakfast Rotary as a part of our community that is has a very high concentration of first-rate people, people that I consider my friends. And all of my friends are very busy doing something that we are very good at:

"Helping our Community - It's what we do"

I am looking forward to working with you this year to continue the Visalia Breakfast tradition.

Yours in Rotary,

Matt Kneeland

President
